About Me
I am currently working full time as tech support rep for an online company. I have been working with ShopSite custom templates and creating stores for ShopSite merchants for 4 years now. I have worked on over 80 sites since I started working with ShopSite.Creating custom templates is a hobby of mine. I started out by working for a few ShopSite merchants by managing their inventory and keeping their websites up-to-date. I began making small changes to templates and fell in love with setting up custom templates and using all of ShopSite's features to enhance online stores.
During my time creating custom templates I have become one of the ShopSite template experts. I created most of the ShopSite Custom Template tutorial, including the Quick & Easy Template Tutorial on ShopSite helping merchants and designers get a template setup quickly without knowing the ins and outs of ShopSite custom templates. I have also created over 10 templates which are built into the ShopSite software. Some of these templates are available in the current version of ShopSite including the Modern template, Curved template and Congruence template. The next release of ShopSite will have many new templates, all of which were created by myself.

I specialize in creating custom templates for merchants based off of their existing design, or a design that they choose. I have worked with many design firms who will design a website and have me do all of the coding. I regularly work with merchants who would like to keep their existing design, but have me make it into custom templates for ShopSite so that it is easier for them to update the look or add new products. I have only begun to start designing sites for myself as well as code them. Below are a few websites which I have both designed and coded.
HomeAndStuff.com
HomeAndStuff.com was launched in February 2011. The site was designed and coded by LaurenHillsDesign. This is a ShopSite Pro store using custom templates for their entire website. HomeAndStuff.com uses the majority of the built-in ShopSite features as well as new features added in version 11. Their product pages have lots of specific information such as manufacturer, dimensions, capacities, and more. These sections of information are being added by using the extra product fields in ShopSite. HomeAndStuff.com uploads their products to be listed in Google's product search. FireplaceHut.com
Fireplacehut.com was one of the first sites that I designed, created, and coded the custom ShopSite templates from scratch and it was launched mid 2009. This is a ShopSite Pro store using custom templates for their entire website. Fireplacehut.com supplies fireplaces, chimineas, firepits, and other patio accessories to their customers.

As many people know, I work as a designer at ShopSite (part-time) as well as do freelance web design in the evenings. Being tech support at ShopSite.com was actually how to I got started with web design. Web merchants would regularly call in with questions dealing with design. I would find out the answer or the 'how to' and would get back to them. By doing this I was self-taught web design. For the last few years I have been creating all the built-in templates available in ShopSite, helping Certified ShopSite Designers navigate ShopSite templates, and I have been creating and updating the ShopSite.com website.

Simplytx.com came to me when they wanted to take full advantage of ShopSite to build and update their website. They were planning to expand the number of products that they offer. This is a ShopSite Pro store using custom templates for their entire website.
